February 1991 saw the beginning of a new era of restaurants
in Wilmington.
Opened by the award-winning, world-traveling chef, Dan
Butler (BigChefGuy.com),
Griglia Toscana was created to give Wilmingtonians a place
to go enjoy a casual neighborhood Italian dinner with contemporary
recipes and great company.
As part of the 10 year celebration the establishment was
completely renovated and reopened as Toscana Kitchen + Bar.
A lounge was added as a relaxing environment for Wilmington
adults to come and listen to live music while waiting for
their meal. It also provides an alternative to the more chaotic
and louder night spots in Trolley Square.
